Lift ticket kiosks are proven to put more money in the pockets of the ski hill, as they reduce staffing requirements, as well as insurance premiums.
The hill can either decide to hire fewer employees, as the kiosks sell tickets without the need of an attendant, or they can choose to change the job focus of the employees who were in charge of selling tickets. If the latter is chosen, a focus on promoting more sales would be ideal.
Insurance premiums can be reduced from the use of our kiosks, as each purchase requires the buyer to accept the terms laid out in the hills waiver. This can be a substantial saving, as research shows, hills pay upwards of 10% of their total income to insurance policies each year.
